Yes, I would say so. Adding Properties to a note will allow lists and tables to be made. If a research log was needed it could be created using the Dataview Plugin. Or, if you had an external research log you wanted to maintain within Obsidian, it could be embedded (if it’s digital). I don’t know if you’d need it though with this system.
