RootsTech 2025 | Denyse Allen
Using ChatGPT as Your Personal Writing Coach
One of the best sessions I attended at RootsTech 2025 was Using ChatGPT as Your Personal Writing Coach by
from Chronicle Makers. Her presentation was inspiring, easy to follow, and packed with incredibly useful insights. Denyse has a YouTube channel where she shares detailed guides on using AI to enhance your writing—not to replace you, but to act as your assistant and coach.Unfortunately, her RootsTech session isn’t available online, but I highly recommend subscribing to Chronicle Makers if you want to learn from her expertise.
Inspired by her session, I created a simple GPT to serve as a family history writing coach exclusively for GenStack Coterie members. Want access? Find out how to become a GenStack Coterie member and start using the GPT today!
For even deeper insights into AI-powered writing, I highly recommend subscribing to Chronicle Makers or Denyse’s YouTube channel.

Exploring the Expo Floor at RootsTech with Lori Olson White
Lori and Robin set out on the RootsTech Expo Hall to explore the exhibits. We tasked ourselves with thinking outside the box (and those big named companies) to find innovative ideas to share with you. We then, asked the exhibitors to tell us about their products. We learned so much and wanted to share it with all of you. A special thank you from Robin to
who was the brilliant host of these interviews. We receive no compensation and are not affiliates of the exhibitors you will see here over the next few weeks.
