In this episode we talk with Bill Moore, the voice behind Family History with Bill Moore, a publication grounded in the belief that every family story deserves to be preserved. Bill brings a storyteller’s eye to genealogy, sharing accounts that range from remarkable achievements to the quiet rhythms of everyday life — the moments that shaped the people who came before him and, ultimately, shaped him.

This week we explore how noticing Small Wins can build confidence and momentum:
Living Your Values
When Values in Action is under strain, you might notice:
You publish something and immediately feel unsettled about it.
You adjust your tone to sound more like what appears successful.
You feel scattered when planning content because nothing feels anchored.
You say yes to commitments that do not align, simply to stay visible.
You lose sight of why the work matters beyond response.
These are not character flaws. They are signals.

Storyteller Tuesdays
The GenStack Ancestral Women 2026
Her Story Matters
What are Storyteller Tuesdays? Each week, anyone in the family historian community here on Substack is invited to take the challenge. This month in honor of Women’s History month, we tell the stories of the women in our family history.
The Ancestral Women 2026 - Storyteller Tuesday Challenge is an invitation to write about your ancestral women. Using storytelling prompts designed to move beyond names and dates and toward lived experience, the following authors have taken the challenge and have been entered to be included in the GenStack Ancestral Women ebook, scheduled for publication in April.
These authors have shown up for the women in their family trees, creating an opportunity for their stories to become part of the human record.
You can still participate in the Ancestral Women 2026 Challenge for the Month of March, Women’s History Month
The March prompts preview (with due dates)
Week 1, due March 3: Rising After Loss
Write about a woman who survived grief or loss and kept going. Focus on what came after the loss and what endurance looked like in daily life.
Week 2, due March 10: The Woman Who Carried the Family Through
Write about a woman who held things together during hardship. Focus on the steady work of survival, not only the dramatic events.
Week 3, due March 17: The Woman With Agency
Write about a woman who made a choice that altered her path. Show her as a decision-maker, whether the choice was quiet or bold.
Week 4, due March 24: The Woman You Inherited
Write about a woman whose life echoes into yours. Explore what you feel you inherited, such as values, habits, traits, patterns, or stories.
